WELCOME PILOT

We cordially welcome you to the

MEDUSSA SPAIN 1000 MILES X 24 HOURS FIRST EDITION

ENDORSED AND CERTIFIED BY AREM EUROPE & IRON BUTT WORLDWIDE & IRON BUTT SPAIN

which will take place from MAY 31ST TO JUNE 2ND, 2024 based in Madrid.

THE MEDUSSA RALLY SPAIN EDITION WILL PUSH YOU TO THE LIMIT...

IT IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART...

THE STRENGTH OF PERSEUS' SPIRIT WILL ACCOMPANY YOU...

Each of the endurance rallies are to test yourself, but remember that the main objective is to reach the finish line safely.

Below you will find instructions and schedule, as well as the important letters and documents for the rally.

  • Attached liability waivers must be filled out on the day of the KIT delivery and given to the STAFF before receiving the KIT.

  • Attached mileage sheet, which must be signed by the judges at the start and finish.

  • You must comply with the respective checkpoints and the route, if you are missing a ticket at the end of the course you will be disqualified.

  •

Throughout the course you must ALWAYS wear the safety equipment required by the organizers. If a judge catches you riding without the mandatory safety equipment you will be disqualified.

Remember this is an ENDURANCE RALLY, not a speed race, you must arrive safe and sound at the finish line, you must be very careful with the trailers and stay away from them, buoys, do not cross them diagonally as they can derail, do not try to beat a car, trailer, etc.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Check the weather forecast, usually in this season the weather is variable, rain is also present, we suggest you be prepared.

  • You must study the route and locate gas stations in time according to the autonomy of your motorcycle, in order to make the necessary recharges and not waste time making extra stops or running out of gas at some point, also locate the mandatory CHECK POINT points in advance. and mandatory tickets so that you do not overlook them and reach the finish line with something missing and for this reason you cannot obtain your certificate.

  • It is very important to stay hydrated throughout the entire route, so include in your plan to drink water before and throughout the route, because once you are dehydrated, problems with fatigue, cramps, headaches, sleepiness, disorientation begin and once you are like this, it is almost It is impossible for them to recover in a short time and that could cause them not to finish the rally in a timely manner or make a mistake that could end in an accident.

  • We suggest that you always be on the move and not stop except to get fuel, a bathroom, some light food and when your body really needs a rest, since it is a long journey and the accumulation of lost time can lead you to despair at the end when you see that time is shortening and that there are many kilometers left to travel.

  • The key to lasting a long time on the motorcycle and not wasting time is to take advantage of any opportunity to stretch your legs and stimulate blood circulation when making obligatory stops at gas stations and traffic lights. This is done simply by standing up while on your motorcycle. , move your body and stretch every chance you have and don't feel the need to do so.

  • You have to push yourself not to waste time, but we should NEVER give up safety, so if you feel tired or sleepy, stop first.
